Insect control

These pests are seasonal (due to the Queen wasps emerging from hibernation in springtime.)

Insect pests can cause a lot of pain with their bites and stings if provoked.

It is very important if a wasp or hornet nest is found to keep your distance and call a professional.

Wasp nests if left untreated, especially in late summer can become a serious health risk with the number of wasps increasing from early spring.

 Wasps and Hornets

Wasps usually occupy holes in and around houses- particularly in loft and shed areas.

It is important to look out for a live entry hole and lots of wasp activity. These signs can indicate the site of a potential nest.

Once a nest is established it will continue to grow.

At the end of the season, if left alone- most of the wasps will die off. However, any surviving queens will build nests nearby next year, so the problem is likely to get worse if left untreated.

These pests not only cause discomfort... They also damage property, especially structural damage by chewing through wood and plasterboard.
